The Spooktacular Costume Contest & Parade returns to downtown Doylestown on Oct. 24, one of four fall events filling the borough's October calendar.

Hellerick's Adventure Farm, the Doylestown Farmers Market, a craft market on the Mercer Museum green and the annual Spooktacular all run throughout October and into November. Here is what to know for each.

Hellerick's Adventure Farm Fall Festival

The fall festival at Hellerick's Adventure Farm, 5500 N. Easton Road, runs daily through mid-November, according to Bucks County Parent. The listing puts hours at 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., though they may vary by day.

General admission covers 18 acres of activities: a wagon ride, a 5-acre corn maze, farm animals, giant slides, an obstacle course and dozens of other activities. Pumpkins, squash and gourds are available for purchase.

Live music and food vendors are scheduled on weekends throughout October, including Oct. 24, 25 and 31.

Doylestown Farmers Market

The Doylestown Farmers Market returns every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on South Hamilton Street between West Oakland Avenue and West State Street, according to Patch. October market dates are Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, each with live music.

About two dozen vendors sell produce, meat, eggs, bread, baked goods, coffee and crafts each week. The season runs through Nov. 21.

Kelly Unger, the market's director, spoke about her connection to the community in an Aug. 3 Patch article about her entry in a national cooking competition. "I love our Doylestown community, and it is my privilege to serve it in various ways, especially with my work at the Doylestown Farmers Market," Unger said at the time.

Craftery Market at the Mercer Museum

A free outdoor Craftery Market takes over the green at the Mercer Museum, 84 S. Pine St., on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Bucks County Historical Society-operated museum will host more than 50 vendors, plus food and live music.

Spooktacular Costume Contest & Parade

The annual Spooktacular returns Saturday, Oct. 24, on the lawn of the Bucks County Administration Building, 55 E. Court St. Discover Doylestown confirmed the date on Facebook.

Check-in and registration begin at 9:30 a.m. The costume-contest award ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m., and trick-or-treating through downtown Doylestown follows at 11:15 a.m. Organizers encourage advance registration through Discover Doylestown's website.
