The nine-piece dance band Legacy takes the C&N Amphitheater stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday for a free show at Central Park as part of the Thompson Performing Arts Summer Concert Series, presented by the Thompson Organization.

Expect current hits mixed with '90s favorites, Motown classics, and rock. Legacy has 25 years of touring experience and features four lead vocalists backed by a brass section with custom horn arrangements, according to booking agency EastCoast Entertainment. Members have performed with Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and The Temptations, per the agency.

The series is free. No tickets required.

Beer garden, food trucks, and parking

A beer garden by Warwick Farm Brewing opens at 6 p.m. Patrons must be 21 or older to purchase, and all beer must be consumed inside the amphitheater. Food trucks will also be on site.

Parking has been reduced this season because of ongoing park improvement construction, according to Doylestown Township. Spots are available in lots adjacent to the amphitheater and near the park exit, at Kutz Elementary School, and at the New Britain Road entrance to Central Park, where a trail connects back to the stage. Township staff will be on hand to direct traffic, but the township recommends early arrival and carpooling because construction has cut available capacity.

The amphitheater is located at 425 Wells Road in Doylestown Township. The main Wells Road entrance is one-way.

Remaining summer lineup

The Doylestown Township website confirms three more Wednesday shows after Legacy:

  • Wednesday, July 29 — AM Radio (60s/70s tribute)
  • Wednesday, August 5 — Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi tribute)
  • Wednesday, August 12 — Rock this Town (swing music)

TAPinto Doylestown also lists two additional dates not yet posted on the township's official schedule: River of Dreams, a Billy Joel tribute rescheduled from July 1, on Wednesday, August 26, and Cherry Lane Band on Sunday, September 20, as part of the township's fall Food Truck Festival.
