Buckingham Township's second Night Market brings 45 vendors and more than 10 food trucks to Holicong Park on Saturday, Aug. 29. The event runs 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the park, 5143 York Rd.

After July's debut packed the park, organizers added four overflow parking lots to handle demand for the expanded event, according to Patch.

"Our very first Buckingham Night Market exceeded every expectation," said Lisa Braud, a member of the Buckingham Township Park and Recreation Commission who is spearheading the series. "The park was filled with families, friends, live music, local vendors, delicious food trucks and free activities for children."

Braud, who owns Hollow House Farm at Dark Hollow and Swamp Roads in Buckingham, has organized farmers' markets in other townships and brought the concept home this summer.

What's new for August

The headline addition is Twyl, a Bucks County-based traveling book trolley offering free storytimes, hands-on workshops and new books for children and adults. The township confirmed the Twyl pop-up alongside live music, food trucks and kids' activities.

A free Kids Zone returns with bounce houses, balloon art and complimentary face painting.

Food and farm vendors

The 45 vendors include farm stands from None Such Farm, McArdle Holiday Farm and Froehlich's, plus local businesses and artisan makers.

Food trucks and booths new to the August lineup include Perk City Flavor, The Comfort Kitchen, Amsterdam Coffee Bar and None Such Farm selling produce and prepared food such as corn on the cob. Returning favorites include Skips Chicken, Smokestack BBQ, Bon Jour Creperie, Top Dog Hot Dogs, Harvest Pizza and Travelin Tom's Coffee. Aurora Bistro from Buckingham Green and Free Spirit, serving mocktails, round out the options.

Looking ahead

The third and final Night Market of the summer series is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Holicong Park.
