Buckingham Township's Night Market series closes out its inaugural year Friday, Sept. 25, with a final evening of food trucks, live music and local vendors at Holicong Park.
The free event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the park, 5143 York Road. It will feature local food trucks, live entertainment, kids' activities and a market of local farms and businesses, according to the township's announcement.
The Sept. 25 gathering caps a three-event summer series organized by Buckingham Township's Parks and Recreation Commission. The first Night Market drew crowds on July 31, and the second followed on Aug. 28. Both events attracted about 45 vendors, including farm stands, artisan sellers and food trucks, Central Bucks Now reported.
The concept took shape at a May 27 Board of Supervisors work session, where Braud, a Parks and Recreation Commission representative, described the Night Market as a combination of Buckingham Day in the Park and Police National Night Out. At that session, Braud said 10 farmer producers from Buckingham had already expressed interest in participating, according to meeting minutes.
Each event has added its own twist. The July 31 market included a non-perishable food drive run by the Bucks County Housing Group. The Aug. 28 edition featured a pop-up appearance by the TWYL Trolley.
The township said in a news release after the July 31 debut: "Seeing Holicong Park filled with neighbors enjoying the evening together exceeded our expectations and opened the door to many exciting possibilities for future Night Markets in Buckingham."
No dates for a 2027 series have been announced.
