Bucks County's tourism industry generated $1.3 billion in economic impact in 2025, fueled by more than 8.4 million visitors who supported 29,397 hospitality jobs across the county.
Visit Bucks County board vice chair Christine Triantos shared the figures Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the organization's annual event at The Fuge in Warminster, where nearly 200 hospitality professionals gathered, Patch reported.
Triantos said the numbers reflect more than hotel rooms and restaurants. They represent the businesses that benefit from visitor spending, the workers whose jobs depend on tourism and the tax revenues that support the local economy, she said.
Board chair Doug Miller, who joined virtually, pointed to the Bucks County Tourism Grant Program's track record. Since 2008, the program has distributed more than $7.85 million to more than 150 organizations to support marketing and the visitor experience.
The 2026 numbers are trending upward, too. Paul Bencivengo, president and CEO of Visit Bucks County, said lodging demand from January through August rose 3.7 percent year over year. Average daily rate climbed 5.7 percent, and revenue per available room grew 9.3 percent, according to STR data.
Summer was even stronger. Bencivengo said June, July and August lodging demand jumped 4.5 percent, with average daily rate up 7.4 percent and revenue per available room rising 8.9 percent.
The FIFA World Cup provided an additional boost. Hotels recorded higher revenue per available room on match days in Philadelphia and New York/New Jersey, and short-term rentals logged more than 300 additional guest nights compared with the same period in 2025, according to STR and Key Data figures cited in the report.
Bencivengo attributed the broad growth to leisure travel, weddings, group tours, meetings, sports events and programming tied to America's 250th anniversary. The Visit Bucks County team visited more than 200 businesses through October 2026 and hosted three industry events drawing more than 115 hospitality professionals.
On the marketing side, the organization connected with 118 meeting planners, participated in seven wedding expos reaching more than 2,000 engaged couples and generated 950 leads for local wedding venues and lodging properties. Group tour efforts produced 54 tracked bookings for 2026.
Visit Bucks County also launched its first Tourism & Hospitality Scholarship in May and expanded internship programs. A meetings market update is scheduled for November.
