More than 160 juried artists, 40 musical acts and a beer garden will fill the streets of Doylestown Borough on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 when the Doylestown Arts Festival marks its 35th year.

The free, rain-or-shine festival runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, centered on State Street, according to the festival's official website. Five music stages positioned at the festival's entry points will feature acts spanning rock, jazz, indie, pop and acoustic, Patch reported in an Aug. 4 lineup announcement. The roster includes regional bands Zydeco a Go Go, Ballistic Berry, Pepperwine and Pure Jerry, plus local favorites Hay Sugar, Away Message and student performers from School of Rock Doylestown.

Discover Doylestown and LBK Design Build are sponsoring the free music programming.

Jennifer Jarret, a Doylestown Borough Council member, said the festival reflects the community itself. She described it as a volunteer-organized celebration that shows visitors what makes the borough special, according to a Patch preview of the event.

Beyond the stages, attendees can watch live glass blowing, wheel-thrown pottery and face painting. A food court returns to Dommel Way, and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co. will run a beer garden in the Pine Street lot.

The whole operation is volunteer-driven. More than 100 volunteers, known around the festival as the "blue shirts," handle everything from setup and teardown to stage crew and parking, according to Discover Doylestown. The festival is organized by a volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown and presented by the Thompson Organization.

Tom Brunt, a Doylestown resident and local business owner, said the weekend brings people who have never set foot in the borough. "… My biggest thrill is to look around and see so many happy faces enjoying our little town—many for the first time," Brunt said.

Sunday brings extra activity downtown. The Bucks County Classic bike race loops through the borough the same day, according to Central Bucks News. The Monkey's Uncle on South Main Street will host an All Abilities Arts Fest in its parking lot from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

BucksArts, the rebranded Arts & Cultural Council, plans to showcase its new name and member artwork at the festival.

Parking will be tight with road closures in effect. The Doylestown Dart will provide free shuttle service to offsite parking areas both days. A 2026 Festival Guide with parking and transit details is available at dtownartsfestival.com.
