More than 170 juried artists will fill downtown Doylestown's streets on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, when the Doylestown Arts Festival marks its 35th year with a free, two-day event featuring visual art, live music and interactive demonstrations.
The festival runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, rain or shine.
Organized by Discover Doylestown, the nonprofit volunteer alliance of local businesses and residents, the festival dates to 1991, when a small group of neighbors launched it. Five music stages are spread across the festival footprint, alongside a beer garden, food court and family activities on the borough's historic blocks. Artists pay a flat booth fee and keep every dollar of their sales. No commission is taken on purchases, according to the festival website.
Volunteers wanted
The festival's volunteer corps, known locally as the "blue shirts," numbers more than 100 people each year. They handle setup, teardown, stage crew, and parking. Sign-ups for the 2026 crew are open at dtownartsfestival.com.
Sunday adds the Bucks County Classic
On Sunday, September 13, the Bucks County Classic bike race returns alongside the festival, with high-speed races circling downtown while art-goers browse nearby booths.
Free parking is available near the festival grounds.
Sponsorship and fundraising proceeds go to Discover Doylestown to support year-round community events, including the Doylestown 5K Race, Spooktacular Parade, and Doylestown Winter Fest.
