Doylestown Township canceled Wednesday's Thompson Performing Arts Series concert after what the township described as an NWS Extreme Heat Warning, with the National Weather Service forecasting heat index values up to 103 degrees in the area.

The township said it made the call to protect residents, performers, vendors, and staff. Studio Two, a Beatles tribute act listed on the series schedule published in June, was set to perform. The township said the band cannot reschedule this year but is expected to return in 2027.

The free Wednesday-night concert series at the C&N Amphitheater in Central Park, 425 Wells Road, still has six shows left on the calendar. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.
