Calvary Chapel Central Bucks will open its parking lot to classic cars, free food and a 50/50 raffle on Saturday, Aug. 8, in what the church is calling its first-ever Classic Car Show.
Admission is free.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at 1100 Manor Drive in Chalfont. Organizer Jess Toro posted the event to Doylestown Patch in mid-July, describing it under the tagline "Faith · Community · Classic Cars." The listing promises trophies for participants, free food for attendees and a 50/50 raffle, though specific trophy categories and the number of cars expected have not been announced.
The church, which sits just off Route 202 in Chalfont, has served the Central Bucks community since 1999. A pastor and his wife started the congregation with a 30-person Bible study in a barn near Doylestown, according to the church's website. The car show marks a new kind of outreach for the congregation, which now draws thousands weekly through in-person and online programming.
