Pine Run Village opens its 43-acre Doylestown Township campus to the public on Saturday, Oct. 3, for the retirement community's annual Family Fun Fest.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Ferry Road campus. Activities include hayrides, face painting, fairy hair, a bake sale, an artisan craft show, a silent auction, kids games, a fishing derby and raffle baskets, according to the Discover Doylestown event listing.
The Build-a-Birdhouse station returns for 2026 after proving popular in past years. The event is open to all ages.
Lunch will be served at the Grille from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Fun Fest comes during a milestone year for Pine Run Village, which celebrated its 50th anniversary with a July gala. State Rep. Tim Brennan and State Sen. Steve Santarsiero attended the July 9 event and recognized the community's half-century in Doylestown Township, BucksCo.Today reported. At that gala, Pine Run Village announced it had reached its fundraising goal to finish renovating its craft barn, a space that has housed pottery, painting, woodworking and knitting groups.
Pine Run Village opened in 1976 and includes 272 independent living cottages and 24 apartments. The campus features The Hub, a 37,000-square-foot community center that opened in 2019 with an auditorium, two dining venues and a fitness and aquatics center. The Pine Run Health Center holds a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Doylestown Hospital owned the campus from 1992 until 2023, when Presbyterian Senior Living, a Dillsburg-based nonprofit, acquired the community. Presbyterian Senior Living serves more than 6,000 seniors at 27 locations across four states. Pine Run Village is its only Bucks County campus.
