A Richlandtown man was sentenced in Doylestown to four to 10 years in state prison for firing a gun at a 19-year-old DoorDash driver who was delivering food to his home.

Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr sentenced Keilan Marshal McKeever, 33, on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Bucks County Justice Center. McKeever was also ordered to pay $2,288 in restitution and undergo a mental health evaluation, Patch reported.

The shooting happened on the night of March 22, 2025, near 1st Avenue and Cherry Street in Richlandtown. The victim, a 19-year-old college student working as a DoorDash driver to supplement his income, had just completed a delivery at McKeever's residence.

McKeever became irate, yelling and screaming that the delivery took too long, according to prosecutors. He followed the driver back to his parked Honda Civic while still holding the food.

As the driver began pulling away, McKeever fired a shot. The bullet struck near the rear window, shattering the glass and sending debris and metal fragments into the driver's hair. A projectile was later found embedded in the victim's hoodie, according to Deputy District Attorney Monica W. Furber, who prosecuted the case.

The driver was not physically injured.

He pulled away and called 911.

State police executed a search warrant at McKeever's residence and seized an H&K 9mm handgun. Investigators matched bullet fragments recovered from the victim's hair to the polygonal rifling pattern characteristic of that firearm, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

McKeever entered an open guilty plea in June 2026 to two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of possession of a weapon, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

"No one working in our community should ever have to fear for their life while trying to earn an honest living," District Attorney Joe Khan said after the sentencing. "This sentence sends a clear message that violent, reckless behavior with a firearm will not be tolerated in Bucks County."

Furber called the shooting an "unprovoked and violent attack" and said the victim was fortunate to escape severe physical injury.
