A small fire in a lab at Doylestown Hospital's Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion brought firefighters from three companies to the scene Tuesday, Oct. 6, about 4:45 p.m.

Staff evacuated surrounding rooms at the 595 W. State St. facility. No injuries were reported, Central Bucks Now first reported.

Doylestown Fire Company, Chalfont Fire Company and Plumstead Fire Company all sent units to the hospital, a cardiac care wing of the 245-bed facility in downtown Doylestown.

The cause of the smoke has not been released, and no official statement from Doylestown Hospital or any of the responding fire companies had been published as of Wednesday, Oct. 7.
