Bucks County Community College hosts the first of four October open houses Wednesday, Oct. 7, at its Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie.

The Perkasie location is the nearest BCCC campus to Doylestown and New Britain families exploring college options ahead of spring enrollment. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at One Hillendale Rd.

Three more sessions follow: Oct. 14 at the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol, a Culinary and Hospitality Open House on Oct. 21 at the Newtown Campus, and a Saturday session on Oct. 24, also in Newtown.

At each event, prospective students and their families can meet faculty, tour facilities and talk with staff from admissions, financial aid, athletics, advising and transfer services, according to the college.

Yolonda Udvardy, vice president of enrollment management, said in the college's Oct. 1 announcement that families are weighing cost and career outcomes more carefully. "Choosing what comes next is a very personal decision, especially at a time when families are asking important questions about cost, value, career opportunities, and the return on investment," Udvardy said.

The college says its 2+2 dual admission pathways can save students 28% to 68% on a bachelor's degree by completing two years at BCCC before transferring. Research.com ranked BCCC the No. 2 Best Value College in Pennsylvania for 2026, according to the college's announcement.

BCCC offers more than 90 transfer and job-ready programs leading to an associate degree or a shorter-term certificate, according to the college. It also has more than 40 student clubs and 14 intercollegiate sports teams, BucksCo.Today reported.
