Property owners with delinquent taxes in Bucks County face a new system this fall: the Tax Claim Bureau has switched its online auction vendor to GovEase.com for all 2026 tax sales.
The change means anyone planning to bid on distressed properties must register through the new platform at govease.com instead of the county's previous auction site. Bidder registration for the September upset sale opened July 1 and closes Friday, August 21, at 4 p.m.
The Bucks County Tax Claim Bureau, housed at the Justice Center at 100 North Main St. in Doylestown, announced the vendor switch on its website.
Key dates for 2026
The upset sale is scheduled for September 15. Properties with real estate taxes at least two years past due may be eligible, according to the bureau's website. The bureau said the list of eligible properties would be published around Wednesday in two newspapers of general circulation within Bucks County and the Bucks County Law Reporter.
The adjourned upset sale and judicial sale are both set for December 8. Registration for those sales opens September 21 and closes November 24, at 4 p.m.
The list of eligible properties may change up until the day of sale, and upset price figures are approximate, according to the bureau.
What bidders need to know
All three sales will be conducted entirely online through GovEase. The bureau recommends that potential buyers consult an attorney and research individual properties before bidding.
GovEase says it has facilitated more than 860,000 parcel sales since 2015 and has over 85,000 active bidders nationwide. Other Pennsylvania counties, including Erie and York, also use GovEase for their 2026 tax sales. Erie County charges a $60 non-refundable registration fee per bidder; Bucks County has not publicly listed its registration fee on the county website.
What's next
Prospective bidders can register at govease.com through August 21 for the September sale. Property owners who owe back taxes should check the published list once it appears around July 15 to see whether their property is included. The Tax Claim Bureau can be reached at 215-348-6000.
