Central Bucks East girls soccer locked up the No. 1 seed in the District 1 Class 4A playoffs, entering the postseason with a 16-1-1 record and a first-round bye.

The Patriots topped second-seeded Downingtown West (15-0-3) in the power rankings despite the Whippets' unbeaten record, according to Central Bucks Now. Pennridge earned the No. 3 seed and Council Rock South the No. 4 seed. All four teams received first-round byes.

The regular season was dominant.

CB East scored 71 goals and allowed just eight through 17 games on MaxPreps, which last updated the schedule Oct. 22. The Patriots went 6-0 in Suburban One League (SOL) Colonial Division play, finished 8-0 at home and ranked No. 1 in Pennsylvania. Their lone loss came Oct. 15 at Pennridge, 2-1. A scoreless draw at Henderson on Aug. 29 is the only other blemish.

The top seed means CB East will host its second-round game Thursday against the winner of a first-round matchup, according to the District 1 bracket published by The Mercury. Quarterfinals follow Saturday at the higher seed, with semifinals Nov. 3 and the district final Nov. 7 at a site to be announced. Five Class 4A teams advance to the PIAA state tournament.

CB East enters the bracket as the defending PIAA Class 4A state champion. The Patriots beat Central Bucks South 7-0 in the state final in November 2025 at Northeastern High School in Manchester, capturing the program's first state title, as Philadelphia Soccer Now reported.

The roster returned several key players from that championship run. A September season preview in The Reporter listed Mia Forney, Kiera Sleicher, Taylor Roumy, Ella Roumy, Ava Mignon and Mattie Williams among the returning contributors. Newcomers Addie Langlois, Mackenzie Peters, Rylie Leedy, Maddie Thompson and Cece Hayes were also named as players to watch.

Pennridge, the No. 3 seed, won the District 1 Class 4A title in 2025 and will face the winner of Council Rock North versus Harriton on Thursday, according to Philadelphia Soccer Now. Downingtown East (12-0-6) also entered the bracket unbeaten.

Any area team that reaches the PIAA finals will travel to F.N.B. Stadium in Pittsburgh, home of the Riverhounds, which was named the host site for the next four years, according to The Reporter's season preview.

CB East's second-round home game is Thursday.
