Rain pushed the 17th Annual Doylestown At Dusk Car Show from Saturday to Sunday, July 19, giving one of downtown Doylestown's biggest summer events a one-day delay and an expanded footprint.

The Doylestown Rotary Club announced the schedule change on Friday after forecasters called for rain Saturday afternoon and evening. The free show runs 5 to 10 p.m. and draws between 20,000 and 25,000 visitors a year, according to organizers, making it one of the largest public events in Bucks County.

This year's route stretches along Main Street from Court Street to Oakland and down East State Street from Main to Pine, adding the blocks in front of the County Theatre and Siren Records. The car count stays capped at just over 500.

Show chairperson Rick Millham said the expansion is about comfort, not volume. "One of the things we noticed was that for a couple of hours, it's really packed on State and Court, and it's really hard to see cars," Millham told Patch. "So we took a look at what we could do to disperse the crowd a little bit. With the added streets, we'll just be spreading out the cars a little more."

What to expect

More than 500 cars, trucks, and motorcycles will line the streets, ranging from Model Ts to late-model exotics. Vehicles are parked in the order they arrive, not grouped by make, model or year. Millham calls the result a scavenger hunt: past shows have featured hearses with coffins, a replica of the Vacation movie car and the Ghostbusters vehicle alongside antique automobiles and American muscle cars.

The evening opens at 4:45 p.m. at the main stage in the Clinton Street parking lot with a color guard presentation and the National Anthem. Six musical acts perform throughout the night: Springbrooke and Wineskin on the main stage; Uncle Bob's Band at the Hamilton lot; Doylestown's School of Rock at Court and Main; Procedural Safeguards, a party band from the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, in front of Siren Records; and Tiny Couch Doylestown, featuring Forester Gray and Alright Junior, at Starbucks.

Local restaurants and vendors will line the route.

Road closures

All side streets intersecting State Street and West Court will be barricaded during the event. Drivers should plan alternate routes through downtown between 5 and 10 p.m.

Charitable tradition

The show raises money for local nonprofits through Rotary grants. At the 2025 event, Millham announced $30,000 in donations to seven community organizations. The 2026 grant total has not yet been announced.
