None Such Farm in Buckingham will open its annual pumpkin festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, with free admission and free parking on the first four weekends of October.

The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting. Activities include hayrides, pumpkin picking, live music and homemade food, according to a BucksCoToday guide published Sept. 26.

The farm sits at 4493 York Road. The pumpkin field is closed on weekdays, and the farm generally opens only for special events, so visitors should plan around the weekend schedule.

BucksCoToday called the festival "one of the most budget-friendly outings in the county" because of its free entry and parking.

None Such is a third-generation family operation. The Yerkes family has farmed the property since 1926, when William H. Yerkes Jr. arrived as a tenant farmer, according to the Bucks County Herald. He purchased the land in 1932.

His sons Bill and John shifted the operation from 400 acres of sweet corn to a seasonal farm market, which opened in 1978. The family accepted a farmland preservation offer in 1998, and John's two sons and their families now run the farm. The pumpkin festival tradition dates to the 1990s.

Leashed dogs are welcome at the festival.

Across the road at 4458 York Road, the None Such Farm market sells produce, meats, prepared dishes, sandwiches and baked goods year-round, according to the farm's website. Seasonal offerings include pumpkin bread and pumpkin chocolate chip bread.

The festival's four weekends are Oct. 3-4, Oct. 10-11, Oct. 17-18 and Oct. 24-25.
