Buckingham Township packed three live events into one week after weather forced the cancellation of Thursday's Summer Concert featuring Yesterday's Gone, a Philadelphia-based Fleetwood Mac tribute band.
The rescheduled show moves to Monday, Aug. 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hansell Park, the series' regular venue, according to a notice posted by the township on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Two more events follow later in the week. Highway Run, a Doylestown-based Journey tribute band, takes the Hansell Park stage Thursday, Aug. 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. That show was also rescheduled, according to the band's Facebook page.
Then on Friday, Aug. 28, the Buckingham Night Market returns to Holicong Park, 5143 York Road, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Parks & Recreation Commission launched the monthly series on the last Friday of July, August and September, featuring local food trucks, live entertainment, kids' activities and vendors from Buckingham farms and businesses.
The July edition drew its first crowd on July 31.
At a May 27 Board of Supervisors work session, Parks & Recreation Commission member Braud said at least 10 farmer-producers from Buckingham had signed on as vendors. "The main objective is to highlight Buckingham specific businesses and to support them by providing something for everybody," Braud told supervisors.
The July Night Market also included a food donation drive organized by the Bucks County Housing Group for local families in need.
Residents should bring lawn chairs and blankets to the concerts. All three events are free.
