Doylestown Township's annual FORE Parks Golf Outing returns Monday, Oct. 5, at Commonwealth National Golf Club in Horsham, with proceeds going directly toward park improvements across the township.
The all-day fundraiser, hosted by Doylestown Township Parks & Recreation, packages a buffet lunch, a round of golf, on-course refreshments, an open-bar reception and dinner into a single registration fee. Individual spots cost $255. A foursome runs $1,020, and all four members must be registered on the same entry form.
Check-in and lunch begin at 11 a.m. at the club, located at 250 Babylon Road in Horsham. A shotgun start follows at 12:30 p.m., and the event wraps by 6 p.m.
On the course, golfers can try their luck at hole-in-one contests, fire a golf cannon and compete in friendly challenges. New this year is a Virtual Duck Derby. The day closes with auction items and an awards ceremony.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses and community organizations, Central Bucks News reported. Companies looking to get their name in front of participants while supporting Doylestown Township's parks system can call the township for package details.
