Impressionist Patrick O'Donnell headlines a six-comic lineup at Comedy Cabaret in Doylestown on Saturday, Aug. 22, bringing his audience-participation act to the North Main Street club.

O'Donnell, who has appeared on Comedy Central, A&E's "Comedy On The Road" and ESPN's "SportsCenter," invites the crowd to shout out characters for him to impersonate on the spot. His career includes a $10,000 win on ABC's "America's Funniest People" and joke-writing credits for Jay Leno and Jimmie "JJ" Walker, according to a booking profile. He has been performing for more than 30 years, according to his website.

Co-headlining is Bob Marsdale, a comedy competition champion featured on Comcast Comedy Spotlight and the TV show "Right This Minute." Marsdale, a Jersey City native who won his first comedy contest in 2008 on his very first time onstage, is known for dead-on impressions and observational humor, according to his website.

The bill also includes Maria Elena, Josh O'Donnell, Jack Mathew and club favorite Kevin Tiers.

The venue's show listing describes O'Donnell as one of the few impressionists who invites the audience to suggest characters mid-set, a format that makes each performance different depending on who's in the room.
